Let’s be honest, you may have purchased your Android Tablet or Smartphone for business purposes, but all you are going to do is end up playing games on it. That comes as no surprise really, the Google Play store is literally bursting at the seams with the amount of fantastic games that it has on offer. In this article we are going to take a look at the best Android games that you can get right now, some will be free, some will be paid for, all are fantastic.
Grand Theft Auto 3
Who can forget Grand Theft Auto 3? It is the game that literally started the onslaught of fantastic GTA Games. On the Android Market you will be able to find a pretty faithful remake of the game. You can easily waste hours in this game, whether you are completing missions or killing prostitutes. This game really has it all. Worth checking out!
Bad Piggies
At the time of writing this game has just been released. It is a spin-off from the classic Angry Birds game, but this time you are in control of the pigs. The format of Bad Piggies is completely different, and instead you will be building small cars for the pigs in order for them to reach their goal. I find that this game is much more fun than Angry Birds.
Angry Birds Space
This is the latest game in the successful angry birds series. Whilst the format is generally the same (i.e. you will be looking to kill pigs with your birds) you also have gravity to compete with. As a result it is a completely new gaming experience.
Cut the Rope
This is the perfect game for children. It is a puzzle game, and the idea is to literally ‘cut the rope’. If you do it right then a delicious piece of candy will fall into the cutest monsters mouth, and you can go to the next level. This is INCREDIBLY addictive.
Dragon, Fly!
I am not sure what it is about this game. It is just an incredibly simple concept, however you will be wasting hours upon it. Basically you are a dragon that cannot fly, and your mission is to get as far away from home as possible before your mother catches up with you. This is one of the most repetitive games in the world, but you won’t be able to drag yourself away from it.
Minecraft
That’s right, the classic PC Game is now on the Android Operating System. Whilst it isn’t as fully featured as the normal version yet, it certainly is getting there. This is perfect for whittling away a couple of hours when you have nothing else to do. The only downside is that you can just join local servers. This is perfect for you Minecraft fix!
Game Dev Story
This is by far one of my favourite games on Android. In this game you are in charge of a computer games developer. It is your mission to develop games and sell them on. Of course, you have to hire the best staff for the job, choose the right genre, and the right game type. It is incredibly addictive. Jump into this and you will realise hours have passed before you know it!
Horn
This game is only going to be good if you own an Android Tablet, and a pretty powerful one at that. This is your classic RPG story, and it lasts a good length of time as well. It has been crafted especially for tablets as opposed to being a port, and thus the controls are pretty easy to pick up. The best part though? The graphics, sound and story are absolutely stunning. You would never believe something as great as this exists on mobile devices. If this is the future, then I am excited.
Where’s My Perry?
Disney seem to have a habit of getting in touch with developers of the most popular games and having them rebranded with Disney characters. Sometimes it doesn’t always work, but it certainly does with ‘Where’s My Perry’. This is a remake of the fantastic game ‘Where’s my Water’, and it is incredible amounts of fun, and addictive too! Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.
Asphalt 7
Couldn’t have an article like this without a good driving game right? Well here it is. Despite its flaws, there is still a lot of fun to be had. The graphics are incredible as well! If you love driving games, then you need this.
