Sony VAIO SB reviewSony VAIO SB is an ultra portable 13.3 inch based on the new platform of Sandy Bridge, in a configuration chosen for an optimal balance between performance and portability.

In the package with a thickness of only 2.4 cm and weight 1.7 Kg, fit a Intel Core i5-2520M, 6 GB RAM, 500 GB harddisk and a video card from AMD Radeon HD series.

Despite the construction of flexible and surprisingly low weight, VAIO SB manages to give the impression of a solid product. The lower part of the carcase and behind the screen, have received a black-mat, whose texture ensures a firm grip and does not retain traces of fingerprints. Screen frame and Panel that covers the restpad website and the keyboard were finishing of aluminum, in a discreet shade of purple.

Screen diagonal 13.3 inch supports resolution 1366 x 768 pixels and is illuminated using LED technology.

Although not completely matte screen surface provides anti-reflection properties, managed to ensure good visibility conditions in most situations.

The brightness of the image is very good, and the level of contrast. The angles of vision does not trouble horizontally, but vertically are somewhat restrictive, which requires adjusting the precise position of the screen for optimal viewing conditions.

Response time is good enough not to leave place of ghosting effect in movies and games, and color fidelity playback is exemplary. Calibration of the temperature of color seems to have as its target value 7500k, offering a bright white, but quite tiring for the eyes.

The song of resistance for Sony VAIO SB is without doubt the Intel Core i5-2520M, along with the video card, DirectX 11, from the series AMD Radeon HD 6470M, only good for occasional sessions of 3D games.
