Sonim, maker of phones tested in accordance with military standards, is preparing to launch a new model called the Sonim XP 3400, phone with support for CDMA and GSM network type.
The Sonim XP 3400 will support both GSM and CDMA networks, the most likely successor model XP3300 Sonim Force, and among the specifications will include a 2-inch display covered with Gorilla Glass, FM radio, GPS navigation, 8 GB microSD card, 2 megapixel camera with LED flash, flashlight and a battery that last 24 hours talk time and 800 hours standby.
Like any other model Sonim XP 3400 and housing will have a resistance to dust, shock, vibration, extreme temperatures and water, according to military standard IP-68, which means can be submerged in water up to 2 m depth for 30 minutes. It will also come with 3 year warranty and accessories (special screwdrivers) for battery replacement.
