Download Map Area is a new Web application launched by Google Labs that Android users are able to use the maps and in Offline through Google Maps.
Finally, Google offers support for Offline viewing of the map, the new app Download Map Area allowing access to Google Maps with some technical limitations. More specifically, you need version Google Maps 5.7 and in the menu click on the button “More” where “Labs” and choose the tick “Download Map Area” where you can download maps covering an area of up to 16 km around the chosen objective.
Limitations are accurate, which may be up to 6 m and to view locations in 3D mode, buildings or other facilities, you must connect to the internet. However, attention maps downloaded in Offline mode are stored for 30 days, after which cached is delete automatically swings a new download via the internet.
